• The only municipality in NJ to actively support shell recycling.  In 2020, LBT received the DEP Recycling Award for Leadership.
• Established the LBT Field Station to be a center of research and information for LBI & Southern Ocean County
• DPW grant from NFWF: supports shoreline stabilization/ restoration to protect the critical infrastructure at this location.
