Rain Barrel Workshop

LBT FS & AmeriCorps NJ are hosting a Rain Barrel Building Workshop. Participants will learn the benefits of using a rain barrel and how to construct one. You will leave with your own rain barrel ready to install!

We will supply a free rain barrel. Here is a list of supplies needed:

• 1- 3/4×1/2-inch garden hose adapter
• 1-3/4×1/2-inch brass faucet (boiler drain)
• 1–10-inch pond basket
• 3-3/4″ electrical conduit locknuts – with or without PVC seal
• 2.5 – 3 feet gray window screen

For a $35 donation in cash or check (made out to “Township of Long Beach”; in the memo please write: “Donation to Field Station”) we will have supplies available to make your rain barrel.
